Dr. Joon-Myung Kang was awarded the best paper award at CNS’11

Dr. Joon-Myung Kang (got his doctoral degree in February of 2011, working as a post-doctor in BK21 Educational Institute of Future Information Technology) was awarded the best paper award at 14th Communications and Networking Symposium (CNS) for his paper titled: “HMNToolSuite: Tool Support for Mobility Management for Mobile Devices in Heterogeneous Mobile Networks”.

The co-authors of the awarded paper are Sinseok Seo (Master&Ph.D. program in Dept. of CSE), Prof. John Strassner (Div. of ITCE), Prof. James Won-Ki Hong (Div. of ITCE).

The paper is based on the research Dr. Joon-Myung Kang has done with Prof. Don Batory in University of Texas at Austin (U.S.) for the BK21 international collaborative research from 2008 to 2009.

Dr. Joon-Myung Kang has presented the paper and was awarded the prize in CNS’11, which was held on April 4th-6th, 2011, in Boston, U.S.

CNS was held as part of the 2011 Spring Simulation Multiconference (SpringSim’11), which was organized by The Society for Modeling & Simulation International (SCS, http://www.scs.org).

SpringSim is composed of 9 symposiums, and presented about 200 papers that are related with computer simulation technologies. Especially, CNS is a symposium about communication and network simulation. In this year, 20 papers are presented in CNS.
