With the aim of producing globally competitive IT brains, the Computer Science and Engineering Department has upgraded all of their lecture courses to help students to develop their research capabilities and has been trying to create the most competitive undergraduate course at POSTECH.
Internships at global companies and collaboration programs with CMU are just some of out department’s efforts to further the globalization of POSTECH students. All of the lectures in our Master’s and Ph.D’s course are in English and the share of English language lectures in the undergraduate course is increasing.

To realize “a creative research environment to spearhead the future IT world”, the Computer Science and Engineering Department has been establishing the foundations for core convergence research that is desperately needed by industry and the research activities will have a broad impact.
The Computer Science and Engineering Department still stand at the forefront of this movement and form the cornerstone of a research based university by having a world famous IT research institute at POSTECH.

The Computer Science and Engineering Department strives to be known as the outstanding Global Level POSTECH CSE by improving public knowledge about computer science and engineering, recruiting exceptional faculty members and continuing to innovate in the research environment.
